Perth Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialists (POGS) is a well-established specialist group practice, proudly delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.Founded in 2011 in Mt Lawley by Dr Ana Perkovic, Dr Patrick Wu, and Dr Pierre Smith, POGS has grown to include Dr Patricia Wong (joined 2020) and Dr Alana Pountney (joined 2023). Together, our team has safely delivered over 8,000 babies and performed thousands of gynaecological procedures.
Comprehensive, Compassionate Care — 24/7
At POGS, a specialist is always on call — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We operate a unique group practice model that offers the best of both continuity and flexibility. You can choose your preferred doctor for your care, and if you’re pregnant, you’ll have the option to meet each of the doctors on our on-call roster before the birth. That way, even if your usual doctor is unavailable, you’ll be supported by a familiar face who understands your journey.

A Dedicated Team Supporting Every Step
Our highly skilled midwives and warm, experienced administrative staff are integral members of the POGS team. From the moment you make contact with us, you’ll be met with compassion and professionalism..
Our midwives are available in our practice every weekday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. They provide:
- Pregnancy assessments and education
- CTGs (fetal heart rate monitoring)
- Breastfeeding support and vaccinations
- Postnatal care and guidance
- Answers to your questions and concerns
Midwives work hand-in-hand with our doctors to ensure consistent, holistic care throughout your pregnancy and beyond.
Friendly, Responsive Administration
Our reception staff are often your first point of contact and play a vital role in your care. They are respectful, approachable, and proactive in responding to patient needs — including finding appointments for urgent concerns wherever possible. If necessary, they’ll consult with our midwives or doctors to ensure you receive timely support. Please note, priority is always given to our existing patients for urgent bookings.
